My name is Coach Johnny Foss and I am now in my eighth season with the mighty Stingrays. I am also the Head Swimming & Diving Coach at McNeil High School and have been for the last seven seasons. Even though I have had the opportunity to train and coach with some elite levels of swimming, I love the opportunity to help and encourage the development of grass-roots swimming. The NWSC is a recreational league that hopes to provide access to the greatest sport in the world...Swimming. My focus here at the Stingrays is to help young boys and girls learn a sport that will make them healthier, stronger, more confident and more social individuals. The sport of swimming provides access to an extremely large family of people wha are focused on improving themselves. That is our true focus here at the Stingrays. Get better today and have fun doing it. Bettering yourself everyday will always put you on a positive and productive path in life. And, the sport of swimming is an activity in which you can participate your entire life. For these reasons I truly believe I have dedicated my life to the greatest sport in the world...SWIMMING! See you in the pool! My email address: utfoss9@yahoo.com
Meet Liz Mericas... woo hoo!
I am returning for my second summer coaching for the Stingrays! I swam with the Stingrays for 12 years and was a volunteer coach for four years. I just finished up my third year as a nursing student at UT. I love corndogs and cheese cake, eh, but not together.
Yo.... Tim Myers
I am returning for my 4th season as a Stingray coach. I just got back from having a great time studying in Australia but I'm glad to be back in Texas with the Stingrays! I just finished my third year as an anthropology student at UT. I'm a big fan of playing my guitar and I love eating pepperoni pizza.
..........And then there's Veronica DiLullo !?!
This is my 5th season as a Stingray coach. I just graduated from Texas Tech University with a degree in Exercise & Sports Science and a minor in Psychology, with plans to be an Occupational Therapist one day. I also just finished my fourth year as a Long and Triple jumper for Texas Tech's track team. Even though I was a track athlete in college, swimming is my first love and I truly enjoy coaching it! If you want to get on my good side, my favorite foods are watermelon and chocolate, better yet, just feed me or let me beat you in a foot race.
Heeere's Danielle Hancock
I am returning for my 2nd year as a Stingray coach. I swam on the Stingrays for 13 years and I was also a volunteer coach for three years! I just finished my second year at ACC and I am happy to say in the Fall I will be attending the nursing school at UT. My favorite food is anything Italian and my favorite color is blue!
..........Introducing Amanda Rees!
This is my first year coaching the Stingrays. I swam for ten years, one of those with the Stingrays! I also swam on the McNeil High School team. I just finished up my freshman year at ACC and will continue there one more year while I teach at Milwood Preschool. I love fruit snacks and especially strawberries - perhaps it's why I have red hair - or vice versa? I am looking forward to having an awesome summer with you all!
